Here are 3 new pieces that I did this week before we head to California. The photo's aren't great and I'll remedy that when I get back. They're still drying. The landscape was a bit laborious, I think I'll take a break from those for a while. Seems I want to put people or animals in them now.

What's New
I've made a new promise to myself to update my blog more often. So you should see a lot more work up here soon.
Today is a New day, having just returned from the Society of Illustrators opening for Book and Editorial work, I have a renewed energy to accomplish the things on my plate right now. Meeting remarkable people in my field, including my favorite illustrator, that are humble and welcoming and very much just like me gave me that renewed energy and stamina to kick it into overdrive and produce the work that I have been dying to make for a while.
Stay tuned for a couple of pieces for Studio Galleries Delicious show opening in April.
As well as,
4+ pieces for Spa Fine Art in Saratoga, NY in Mid April. I'm on the second piece, I'm hoping this one, like the first one, sells before it goes to the gallery. I also have a personal portrait project that I am in the middle of and 2 commissions. Busy Busy Busy, but I can't complain :)
We're off to Sunny California for 12 days on the 17th and the weather change will be a nice break from the cold that is keeping our 2+ feet of snow from melting. I don't mind the snow, but it's getting hard to get out of the garage, there's no place left for the plow to put the it.
I've been substitute teaching in the K-12 environment for a couple of months now and it has been as much an education for me as the kids. It takes my time away from painting, but I do get a lot out of it.
Off to paint. I'll post updates soon.
